Its Friday I'm In Love (Updated) genre: Tuned Out

UPDATE:

Mad TV recently did a spoof of the music video of James Blunt's song You're Beautiful. The actual song lyrics appear at the end of this posting. The video is pretty funny. I believe you can find the actual video for the song at the link to James Blunt below.

"Its Friday I'm In Love" is a recurring posting that will appear each Friday here at Thought Theater. The intention of the category "Tuned Out" is to present music that is both appealing and thought provoking. I also enjoy discussing and exchanging perceptions and impressions about the lyrics of songs and I welcome that feedback and discussion. This will also be a place to introduce readers to new and obscure musicians that may need help getting some exposure. Readers are encouraged to post comments about the spotlighted musicians as well as introduce other musicians who could benefit from some added attention.

James Blunt - Back to Bedlam

CD Cover - Back to Bedlam The first artist is by no means obscure. His CD, Back to Bedlam is doing quite well and he was recently the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. His story is engaging and anyone interested in knowing more about James Blunt can go to www.jamesblunt.com to read about him. I've included the lyrics to a song he sang on SNL called You're Beautiful. If you get the chance, take a listen to his music. He has a lot to say.

You're Beautiful

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I'm sure.
She smiled at me on the subway.
She was with another man.
But I won't lose no sleep on that,
'Cause I've got a plan.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

Yeah, she caught my eye,
As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was,
Fucking high,
And I don't think that I'll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.
You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.
