Does The Road To The White House Run Through The Late Show? genre: Polispeak & Tongue-In-Cheek & Video-Philes
When John McCain backed out of his appearance on The Late Show to rush back to Washington DC to save the country, David Letterman wasn't too happy...especially since he spotted McCain making an appearance in NYC with Katie Couric at the very time he was supposed to be seated next to Dave.
The night it happened, Letterman made a statement to the effect that the election runs through him. Given his relentless jokes at the expense of John McCain and the following video spoofing Sarah Palin, it appears that Letterman is determined to make it so.
