Beatles: Sgt. Pepper's Loney Hearts Club Band - 40!! genre: Happy Remembrances & Tuned Out

On June 2, 1967, The Beatles released the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. That's forty years ago...wow. I found two videos to share that I've posted below. The first clip is from a program that celebrated the twenty year anniversary of the album...and it contains the songs Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and With A Little Help From My Friends. The second video clip is Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.

From Wikipedia:

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth album by The Beatles. It is often cited as their magnum opus and the most influential album of all time by prominent critics and publications, ranking number 1 on Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2003. It was recorded by the Beatles over a 129-day period beginning on December 6, 1966. The album was released on June 1, 1967 in the United Kingdom and on June 2, 1967 in the United States.

Upon release the album was an immediate critical and popular sensation. Innovative in every sense, from structure to recording techniques to the cover artwork, the artistic effect was felt immediately.
